It’s happening: Our project is now live on Kickstarter today through May 20!
On the crowdfunding site, you can support our project, buy your own copy of the book, and help us reach our goal of donating 100 books to literacy programs, libraries, and schools!
Kickstarter Day 2 Update: I’m astounded to say that we’re 50% of the way there! Our hearts are full. Thank you, friends.
Keep sharing!
There’s something else you can do!
Help us spread the word! A personal email or text goes a long way when you’re sharing a project you’re excited about. Here’s a blurb you can use as you see fit:
When We March is a children’s picture book that explores what it feels like—from your head, to your heart, to your toes—to show up, to speak up, and to recognize that democracy only works when every one of us counts.
The book got its start in 2017 as a manuscript that the author & illustrator field tested in Boulder and Denver, Colorado schools.
Now they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the publishing. The goal is to raise enough to print copies not only for those who order them but also to donate 100 books to literacy programs, libraries, and schools. The campaign runs April 22 – May 20.
Know a great spot to post a flyer?
If there’s a community bulletin board near you, please consider posting one of our flyers. We’d be happy to send you a PDF to print. Just drop a line to newcolossuspress@gmail.com.
Thank you!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of the When We March community and for supporting our project on Kickstarter.
Together, we can make this book a reality and put it in the hands of as many children as possible so that they know the power of their own voices.
